Wow, Astro Boy must have really sucked if Couples Retreat beat it. Next week, prepare for all hell to break loose as the Michael Jackson movie This Is It moonwalks into theaters.  I wonder what he’ll wear to the premiere. Oh snap, too soon?

In Theaters Friday, October 23

Astro Boy. The beloved Japanese super hero gets the Hollywood treatment in his very own CGI extravaganza. Not much else to say except he has machine guns that fire out of his ass. Are we sure this isn’t really porn?

Amelia. This movie looks very boring, but it is a biopic, which equals Oscar buzz. Prepare to see Hilary Swank mack on Richard Gere and then fly a plane. I wonder how this will turn out?

Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant. You can’t swing a sack of dead bats without knocking into a vampire these days. Watch John C. Reilly as the titular vampire. Extra points for the appearance of Jane Karkowski.

Saw VI. Jigsaw and his gruesome brand of justice are back for more slicing, dicing, limb twisting, and blood letting. Now that’s my idea of a romantic movie.
